My 6th grade students will be studying renewable/non-renewable energy. We will focus on solar energy, and host a "Lights Out Day" on our campus to raise awareness of solar energy.

Any speakers that could come and share information on these topics would be great. I am hoping to inspire the students to embrace solar energy and use it in the future!

Ideally the speaker would come 2 days and address the 2 different sets of 6th grade science classrooms (150 students/ 5 classes of about 32 students) Speaker would spend one day in my room, and one day in the other science teacher's room. If not, we could combine the 2 6th grade classes, and have the speaker on the stage addressing 64 students each period for one day.

Dates: The week of April 26-30th or May 3-7th would be ideal.
