- Project Description:
To do biotech activites we need equipment that is more "high-tech" than what we typically have in the classroom. We are looking for donations of micropipettes (variable or fixed volumes, volumes from 10ul up to 1000ul), gel boxes (8 boxes with power supply units), and high power microscopes (5-15 scopes, to view bacteria). Microscope camera would be a great addition to our labs. Equipment would be shared by our 7th grade middle school teachers, providing lab experiences for 400 students yearly.
Used/slightly miscalibrated/outdated equipment would be fine for us. The purpose is to excite kids about science though great lab activites and high-tech equipment. We have the know-how and the desire to do more labs, we just need the equipment to get started!
