Dear Bay Area scientists - Our small, public, internship-based high school encourages students to seek out professionals to interview about their careers. This is a way for students to explore their passions and curiosities and figure out how to turn them into livelihoods. It is also a great way for students to discover pathways they haven't even imagined. Many MetWest students, 9th-12th grade, are interested in pursuing the sciences - especially biology, biochemistry, and engineering. They are available to come to your work site (if accessible by pubic transportation from Oakland) for a 20-30 minute informational interview on Tuesdays and Thursdays, between 12 pm and 3 pm.
