I have always wanted my students to be exposed to how chemistry is used in various careers. I would be willing to have a guest presenter come in and talk about how chemistry is a part of their career .I would like to connect with at least two scientists in the community in order to bring them in to my classes for a discussion with my students about what they do in the chemistry field. I would also like to take them to a chemical engineering plant or some other field trip, where students will see chemistry in action. This could take place any time between April and May.This will encourage and motivate my students towards learning science and chemistry .I would like to get a SmartBoard donated for my classroom-the scientists could use this for presentations, and I could ultimately use the Smartboard for interactive activities to help the students be more involved in solving chemistry problems, balancing equations, building molecules, drawing Lewis structures, etc.
