“America has such a proud history of exploration, discovery and research that has changed the world for decades, it is now time to step up to the wonders and the possibilities of STEM research today for tomorrow. Even as our proud science heritage sings an anthem of the possible, with the possibilities of STEM research, we must enthusiastically support the scientists and visionaries of today. As those before us found a cure for polio and tuberculosis, took us to the moon and to the depths of our oceans, so too can our generation research entirely new frontiers. National Lab Day specifically and STEM research generally is the new frontier of our time. Let us be equal to the promise of tomorrow as well as to the tradition of our American entrepreneurial and democratic spirit. At the end of the day, cures for diseases from alzheimers to MS, from ALS to autism, from Parkinsons to diseases not yet named, are all within our grasp if our altruism can support our scientific imagination.
