pays huge dividends. As Governor, whenever I talk to a company about locating in Pennsylvania, one of the first questions the CEO asks me is about our workforce and its proficiency in computers, math and science.

That’s why in 2007 we created a STEM initiative in Pennsylvania. It is designed to create the foundation for our future competitiveness by establishing a network of partners and programs that support the development and deployment of science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. Ours is much like National Lab Day – projects that can supplement our education system and help make a huge difference in a kid’s future."
