As a former Math and Science teacher, I am excited about National Lab Day. This encourages our students to focus even more attention and interest on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). With more jobs emphasizing a strong background in these subject areas, we need to continue to provide opportunities for them to develop interest and excel in STEM literacy. And, our students will learn and retain so much more with many of the discovery-based projects made available through the National Lab Day site as educators connect with each other through posting projects.
